Singapore to Bhutan: Flights, Schedule and Flight Time

Drukair flies from Singapore to Paro three times a week with a stop in Guwahati. Here is how it works.

Airline
Drukair (Royal Bhutan Airlines)
Route
Singapore → Guwahati → Paro
Days (Nov 2026)
Tue, Thu, Sun to Paro; Mon, Wed, Sat back
Flight time
About 6 hours 15 minutes including the stop

Singapore to Bhutan is one of the easiest trips into the country: there is a single-airline route from Changi to Paro, so you don't need to change planes. Drukair, Bhutan's national airline, runs the service with an Airbus A319 and a stop in Guwahati, in north-east India. Bhutan Airlines does not fly from Singapore.

Singapore to Bhutan Flight Schedule

FlightRouteDaysDepartsArrives

KB540Paro → Guwahati → SingaporeMon, Wed, Sat07:50 (Paro)15:55 (SIN)

Days and times are from Drukair's November 2026 schedule and change through the year. Always check the current schedule on drukair.com.bt before you book.

Drukair increased the route to three flights a week from April 2026. In earlier years it ran less often, so check the schedule for your travel month.

Singapore to Bhutan Flight Time

The flight time from Singapore to Bhutan is about 6 hours 15 minutes including the stop in Guwahati (Singapore is two hours ahead of Bhutan). The return flight to Singapore takes about 6 hours 5 minutes. The stop in Guwahati is about 40 minutes. Check with Drukair which transit rules apply to your passport during the stop.

Because the Paro arrival is in the late afternoon, your first day in Bhutan is usually just the transfer to your hotel in Paro. The return flight leaves Paro early in the morning, so plan to spend your last night in Paro.

How to Get to Bhutan From Singapore

  1. Book your tour with a licensed Bhutanese operator, so your guide, hotels, visa and SDF are arranged.
  2. Book the Drukair flight online at drukair.com.bt, or through Drukair's Singapore sales agents (below).
  3. Receive your visa approval before you fly. You need it at check-in in Singapore.
  4. Fly to Paro. Your guide meets you outside the arrivals hall.

Drukair's Singapore office

Drukair lists two sales agents in Singapore on its contact page: Druk Asia Pte Ltd, the general sales agent (60 Albert Street, #12-03, OG Albert Complex; [email protected]), and Chariot Travels Pte Ltd (101 Kitchener Road, #03-38, Jalan Besar Plaza). You can also book on Drukair's own website.

How to Book

Book directly with the airline: Drukair and Bhutan Airlines both sell tickets online, with online check-in and booking management. Drukair's Singapore agents can also issue tickets.

We don't book flights for our clients. Choose your flights first (or hold a booking), send us the dates, and we plan the tour around your arrival and departure in Paro. Our guide meets you at the airport.

Paro airport only operates in daylight and in good visibility (Department of Air Transport), so weather can delay flights, especially in the monsoon. Leave a buffer between your Bhutan flight and any long-haul connection, ideally a night.

Sort Out Your Visa and SDF Before You Fly

You cannot fly to Paro without a Bhutan visa approval. Everyone except Indian, Bangladeshi and Maldivian nationals needs one. The visa costs US$40 and is issued online once your trip and the Sustainable Development Fee (US$100 per person per night, set until 31 August 2027) are paid (Department of Tourism). If you travel with us, we apply for the visa and pay the SDF for you; you show the approval letter at check-in and receive the visa stamp on arrival in Paro.

International visitors must also have a licensed guide for the whole stay, so book your tour before your flights are final. See our Bhutan visa guide and Bhutan tours and holidays.

Best Time to Fly From Singapore

The school holidays in June and December are popular. June is the start of the monsoon, so expect rain; December is cold but dry and clear. See our best time to visit Bhutan guide, which includes a section on Bhutan's December weather.
