Jomolhari Mountain Festival

Thimphu, Bhutan · October (Autumn)

A two-day highland celebration (October 14–15) at the base of sacred Mount Jomolhari, where yak-herding communities celebrate their culture and coexistence with the snow leopard — folk dances, yak displays, and trekkers arriving from the Jomolhari trail. One of the few Bhutanese festivals with fixed dates.

Exact dates follow the Bhutanese lunar calendar and shift each year — see the full festival calendar or read the complete Tshechu guide.
